Step 1: Format & Extract
Ensure your 64GB USB drive is formatted to exFAT. Extract the downloaded ZIP file directly to the root of the USB drive. Do not place the files inside a subfolder.
-
Step 2: Insert into Vehicle
Start your engine. Insert the USB drive into the USB port in your center console or armrest (the port marked with a media/phone icon).
-
Step 3: Enter FSC Code
The COMAND screen will prompt that a new map update is available. Select "Yes" to update. When asked for an activation code, enter the 20-digit FSC code we provided.
-
Step 4: Wait for Completion
The update takes approximately 40-60 minutes. Once it reaches 100%, the system automatically reboots. Your maps are now updated.
-
Step 1: Prepare USB Drive
Format your USB drive to FAT32. Unzip the downloaded map files and copy the contents directly to the root of the USB drive - do not nest them in a folder.
-
Step 2: Insert and Navigate
Start the engine. Insert the USB into the front USB port. On the Audio 20 display, press the NAVI button, then go to Options > Map Update.
-
Step 3: Enter Activation Code
The system will detect the new map data and prompt for an activation code. Enter the FSC code exactly as supplied - it is case-sensitive.
-
Step 4: Installation Complete
Installation runs in the background (20-40 minutes). A confirmation message appears when complete. Do not remove the USB or switch off the ignition until the prompt clears.
-
Step 1: Prepare USB Drive
Format your USB drive to exFAT or NTFS. Unzip the downloaded files and copy them to the root directory of the USB drive.
-
Step 2: Plug In
Start the engine. Navigate to the Navigation screen on your head unit. Plug the USB drive into the data port in your vehicle.
-
Step 3: Activation
A prompt will display your current and new map version. Select "Update". When prompted for a PIN, enter the FSC code we sent via email.
-
Step 4: Installation
The progress bar will appear. Do not turn off the engine or remove the USB. The system will restart automatically once the installation is complete.
-
Step 1: USB Preparation
NTG6 (MBUX) requires the USB drive to be formatted to exFAT. Place all map files directly on the root of the drive - no subfolders.
-
Step 2: System Recognition
Start the vehicle. Plug the USB into the Type-C port in the center console. MBUX will automatically detect the new map data and display an "Update available" notification.
-
Step 3: Enter License Key
Tap "Update". The system will request a license key. Use the touchscreen to enter the 20-digit FSC code provided with your order.
-
Step 4: Background Update
MBUX installs the update in the background. Monitor progress in the notification center (swipe down from the top of the screen). A final reboot occurs upon completion.
